Bio

Jeffrey Nadison, founder of Sylphium LLC

Previously, he was president of SA Agri-Esprit, a French technology start-up which develops software systems designed to address world food security and environmental impact challenges. 

​

Jeff was the former Associate Provost (Innovation), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, responsible for the promotion of innovation across the university including industry interfaces, technology transfer, spin-out company support, and entrepreneurial education.

​

He has spent much of the last 25 years of his career commercializing R&D and innovation across a broad spectrum of activities that define the global agri-food chain for some world leading companies including Unilever, Dalgety, DuPont, Aventis and John Deere. This includes transgenic crops, precision agriculture, DNA diagnostics for accelerated livestock breeding, proprietary food ingredients, nutraceuticals and processed foods.


An experienced manager in a crisis, Jeff’s thorough knowledge of safety, health and environmental issues has seen him through a number of significant food-scare challenges over the past two decades in Europe and the US.


He has held a variety of board positions on start-up agri-tech companies in France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. 


Jeff has extensive M&A and new business development experience, having consummated over thirty-five acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, licensing agreements, alliances, and research collaborations with a total transactional value exceeding US$750 Million. 


He has overseen the successful launching of fourteen profitable, proprietary products and has helped launch and nurture 10 technology start-up companies.


Jeff has a BSc. in Food Chemistry from UMass Amherst and an MBA from UCLA.
